Rocky Mountain Field Institute

The Rocky Mountain Field Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit environmental organization based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of public lands in Southern Colorado. RMFI is committed to protecting and enhancing the ecological health of our land and water resources by completing projects focused on watershed restoration, forest health, and creating sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities.

Working with designs by Design Rangers, Oxbow labs created a beautiful, modern website that allows RMFI to clearly communicate their goals and illustrate their projects while managing important data like contributions and volunteer registrations.

CiviCRM Integration

CiviCRM is a powerful, open source CRM that, when integrated with a Drupal website, streamlines processes like online donations, record keeping, and event registration.

Data Migration

In moving from RMFI’s previous website that used Drupal 7 we transferred important data (including users and CiviCRM records) to the new site's database, adapting to changes in table structures with Drupal 8. This resulted in a more seamless transition for everyone.

Calendar & Event Registration

Keeping track of upcoming events and volunteer registrations can be complicated. Oxbow Labs built a calendar that makes it easy, clearly displaying upcoming events and allowing users to register through CiviCRM.

Modular Design

Simple content management doesn’t always result in a good-looking page. But using Oxbow Lab's content editor with pre-defined content “blocks” to customize and add to pages, it's simple and looks good. RMFI's content editors have an easy editing experience without having to be designers, and the resulting pages are more consistent with RMFI’s brand and other pages across the site.
